FlowBatch Presets: One-Click Batch Processing Workflows

Last Updated: December 1, 2025

FlowBatch comes with factory presets for common batch processing tasks. These are pre-built workflows that you can use immediately: select a preset, set your input and output folders, and start processing.

What Are Presets?

Presets are pre-configured node-based workflows. Each preset defines a processing pipeline with nodes already connected and configured for a specific task. Instead of building a workflow from scratch, you load a preset and customize only the input/output paths.

All factory presets are available in both the free and licensed versions of FlowBatch.

Factory Presets

FlowBatch includes four factory presets:

HEIC to JPG

Converts iPhone HEIC photos to universally compatible JPG format

Processing Pipeline

Input → Filter (HEIC only) → Convert to JPG (90% quality) → Output

How It Works

  • Input: Scans your selected folder and subfolders for image files
  • Filter: Only processes .heic and .heif files (passes others unchanged)
  • Convert: Converts to JPG at 90% quality, preserving EXIF metadata
  • Output: Saves with original filename, .jpg extension

Use Case

You have hundreds of iPhone photos that won't open on Windows or upload to websites. Run this preset to batch convert them all to JPG.

Social Media Multi-Format

Export one image to TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube formats simultaneously

Processing Pipeline

Input ─┬→ Resize 1080×1920 (9:16) → Output _tiktok
       ├→ Resize 1080×1080 (1:1) → Output _instagram
       └→ Resize 1920×1080 (16:9) → Output _youtube

Output Formats

  • TikTok/Stories: 1080×1920 pixels (9:16 vertical) with black background
  • Instagram Feed: 1080×1080 pixels (1:1 square) with white background
  • YouTube Thumbnail: 1920×1080 pixels (16:9 landscape) with black background

Use Case

You're a content creator who posts the same images across multiple platforms. Instead of manually resizing for each platform, run this preset once and get all three formats.

Web Responsive Images (srcset)

Generate small, medium, and large image sizes for responsive web design

Processing Pipeline

Input → Convert to WebP ─┬→ Resize 400px → Output _sm.webp
                         ├→ Resize 800px → Output _md.webp
                         └→ Resize 1200px → Output _lg.webp

Output Sizes

  • Small (Mobile): 400px width, WebP at 80% quality
  • Medium (Tablet): 800px width, WebP at 80% quality
  • Large (Desktop): 1200px width, WebP at 80% quality

Use Case

You're building a website and need responsive images. This preset generates the three sizes you need for HTML srcset attributes, in WebP format for smaller file sizes.

Thumbnail Generator

Create 640x360 thumbnails with optimized file size

Processing Pipeline

Input (recursive) → Resize 640×360 → Convert to JPG (75%) → Output _thumb.jpg

Settings

  • Resolution: 640×360 pixels (16:9 aspect ratio)
  • Format: JPG at 75% quality
  • Metadata: Stripped for smaller file size
  • Recursive: Processes subfolders automatically

Use Case

You have a large image library and need preview thumbnails for a gallery, video hosting, or content management system. This preset creates small, fast-loading previews.

How to Use Presets

  1. 1
    Open the Preset Panel

The preset panel is on the left side of the editor. Factory presets are listed under "Factory Presets".

  2. 2
    Select a Preset

Click on a preset to load it into the editor. The nodes and connections will appear on the canvas.

  3. 3
    Configure Input Path

Click on the Input node and set the source folder where your images are located.

  4. 4
    Configure Output Path

Click on the Output node(s) and set the destination folder where processed files should be saved.

  5. 5
    Start Processing

Click the Start button. FlowBatch will process all files in your input folder according to the workflow.

Customizing Presets

Factory presets are starting points. After loading a preset, you can modify any node's settings:

  • Change dimensions: Click a Resize node and adjust width/height
  • Change quality: Click a Convert node and adjust the quality slider
  • Change format: Click a Convert node and select a different output format
  • Add nodes: Drag new nodes from the toolbar to extend the workflow
  • Remove nodes: Select a node and press Delete to remove it

In the free version, these customizations apply to the current session. In the licensed version, you can save modified workflows as custom presets for future use.

Free vs Licensed

Free Version

  • All 4 factory presets
  • Unlimited batch processing
  • Full node-based editor
  • Customize presets during session
  • Build custom workflows

Licensed Version

  • +Everything in Free
  • +Save custom presets permanently
  • +Watch Mode (auto-process new files)
